Death Magnetic German Tour 2009

In the spring of 2009 Metallica came to Europe with a gigantic World Magnetic Tour with concerts in indoor arenas. After a series of concerts in the UK (which you can read on the blog  - Death Magnetic UK Tour 2009) Metallica came to Germany. German fans could never complain about the lack of Metallica concerts in their country. Metallica during each tour played in Germany several times. So it was in the spring of 2009 and Metallica played in Germany mini tour consisting of seven concerts between May 6 and 17.
• May 6th - Munchen, Olympiahalle,
• May 7th - Lepizig, Leipzig Arena,
• May 9th - Stuttgart, Hanns-Martin-Schleyer Halle,
• May 11th - Frankfurt Festhalle
• May 12th - Hamburg, Color Line Arena,
• May 16th - Oberhausen, Konig Pilsener Arena,
• May 17th - Koln, Lanxess Arena

When we add one more concert in Hockenheim on July 4th where band played under the sign of Sonisphere Festival it is clear that the German fans could not complain.
As for the tickets they were not particularly beautiful when it comes to design. Regular printing of Eventim, even without a graphic logo of Metallica. I’ve seen a nicer version (from concert in Stuttgart), but it is very difficult to find them. The fact that the tickets were not attractive appearance was in my opinion an impact on that people do not care about them. A large part of the concert tickets from that tour with whom I had to deal with was in a very bad condition (folded, crumpled, dirty etc..).

25 years anniversary of The Black Album

This year we celebrate the 25th anniversary of the album Metallica aka The Black Album. The album hit the stores on August 12, 1991 but a few days before the release of the album we had free listening party at Madison Square Garden, NY (August 3, 1991). Few days later in the UK were another two events in Manchester (August 6, 1991) and one day later in London (August 7, 1991). Below tickets from these events.

A few days ago, my collection grew by ticket, that without a doubt I can call one of the prettiest tickets from the The Black Album era. A ticket from the concert, which took place in Bangkok Metropolitan Youth Welfare Center on April 15, 1993. It's a pretty huge, full picture ticket with whole band. What is more fuckin cool is that on the back are Nothing Else Matters lyrics.... on the fuckin ticket !!!!. Can You imagine things like this nowadays ?. General impression does not spoil even the fact that above the lyrics is a band picture from the Ride the Lightning era.

800 tickets

After the last large delivery - 800 tickets in my collection has become a reality. Honorable name "ticket number 800" went to the ticket of June 15, 1988 from a concert which Metallica played in Pittsburgh during the Monsters of Rock Tour as a Van Halen support.
Long life, Metallica and more tickets in my collection. Below are some photos of my collection.

New shit in my collection #15

It is true that there was an update for some time but that does not mean that my collection is not increased by new tickets at this time. Today, the last major update in my collection. Below same photos without descriptions - the principle that the pictures speak more words.

New shit in my collection #14

The first new tickets in this year, rather late, but better late than never.

Above ticket from the first of two consecutive concerts that took place in the Top Hat, (Dublin, Ireland). I love all Metallica tickets from 80’s.

I know it may seem strange but find that ticket it was a real pain in the ass. Strange because it’s  relatively “young” ticket. A similar situation in my case with a ticket from concert, which took place a week later in Erfurt, Germany - never seen it.

A ticket from the second Metallica concert in the framework of the event Jailhouse Rock in Horsens prison. I had in my collection e-ticket from that concert, now I was able to get a hard ticket.

Ticket from a Canadian Quebec City from 2015. This was the last concert that took place in the hall of Colisee Pepsi in general. During their career, Metallica played there a total of eight times.

This ticket is from the last so far Metallica concert. The event was organized by CBS, it was called The Night Before and held in the hometown of Metallica San Francisco.

At the end I wish you all Happy Easter.

"Will Call" envelopes

Today's blog post will be about the "will call" envelopes. Certainly often you purchased tickets to a concert and as a form of personal reception chosen to receive them before the concert where they were waiting for you just in "will call" envelope. From Wikipedia: "Will call refers to a method of delivery for (purchased) goods where the customer picks up the goods at the seller's place of business, primarily in North American commerce. The word "call" is a shortened form of "call for" which means "to come and get", so "will call" literally means "(the customer) will call (come and) get (the goods).
It is still in wide use for ticket sales at the box offices or at large venues as a indoor stadiums or arenas, where you can find "Will Call" pickup windows. The method of receiving tickets and envelopes are most prevalent in the United States, but not only. Currently, tickets in cool envelopes may be obtained at the shops / music stores etc. around the world. A separate category are special envelopes in which we can pick up before the concert VIP packages. Then usually envelope design refers to the artist / band. Envelopes and tickets You can see at my blog, refer of course to Metallica.

Nice Japanese envelope and ticket from Metallica "Final Countdown 1991" concert. I think I still have a special bag which comes with envelope and ticket.

A typical envelope with advertising radio station. In which envelopes received the tickets won in one of the radio contests
